Frequently Asked Questions

"Lames de France".... What does it mean?

Blades of France, translates into French as ‘lames de France’, meaning also ‘soul of France’. The soul of France or rather the soul of 6 regions of France typifies this unique collection of steak knives. Each knife in the collection is inspired from a region and culminates the expertise of knife makers throughout France.

In collaboration with award-winner Robert Beillonnet, M.O.F ( Meilleur ouvrier de France), Fontenille Pataud has created the design and technicality of each knife transforming these knives into unique and resolutely contemporary objects. Corsica, The Alps, Normandy, Saint-Martin, The Massif Central and Thiers make up the map of France that has inspired this brand new collection.

The meticulous selection of raw materials associated with a top-quality fabrication process will guarantee the user of these knives a real moment of pleasure. Our high standards and our professionalism also assure you excellent value for money.
